韩国科学技术院入学准备

　　韩国科学技术院(Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology)，简称KAIST  ，也被称作韩国高等科技院，是坐落在韩国大田广域市的一所公立研究型大学。2013年，KAIST有10200名在读学生和1140名教师及研究人员。

　　KAIST在2014QS世界大学排名中位列世界51位  ;在2014年的QS亚洲排名中位列第2位;在2014的《泰晤士报高等教育50年以下院校百强排行榜》中，KAIST位列世界第三位。

　　KAIST给包括国际学生在内的绝大多数本科生、硕士生和博士生提供全额奖学金。硕博连读的学生可以免除兵役，KAIST是韩国唯一具有此资格的高校。

　　Welcome to KAIST! Our sincerest congratulations go to all new students. We  hope your time at KAIST will prove to be greatly enjoyable and rewarding.

　　ISSS (International Scholar & Student Services) supports international  members at KAIST to facilitate the process of settling and adapting to life at  KAIST and in Korea.

　　Please refer to the ISSS brochure for more details.

　　Below is an outline of important information. Later on we will provide  information on how to register at KAIST and other details.

　　ISSS (国际学者与学生服务) 将为国际学者与学生提供帮助，以帮助其适应在在韩国科学技术院和韩国的生活。

　　1. Moving Into the Dormitories

　　Moving in is possible from February 25.th (Weds.), 2015

　　ISSS will apply for a dormitory room on your behalf. You are guaranteed a  dorm room, but unfortunately you cannot choose the type of room because rooms  are assigned by random.

　　Please understand that it is difficult to meet all individual requests  because we do not have a large number of spare dorm rooms.

　　Note: Please plan to arrive at KAIST when the school is open. Offices are  open between 9:00 am ~ 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm~ 6:00 pm, (Monday through Friday),  except on special holidays that fall on weekdays. If you are going to arrive at  KAIST when the school is closed because of your flight schedule, you should have  someone who can take care of you until the offices open, or contact ISSS  ([email protected]) five (5) days prior to your arrival at KAIST.

　　1.入住宿舍

　　从 2015年2 月 25 日(周三)开始 可以入住。

　　ISSS将以您的名义来申请宿舍。你将得到一个宿舍房间，但不幸的是，你不能选择的房间类型，因为房间类型是随机分配的。

　　请您理解很难满足每个人的要求，因为我们并没有大量的备用宿舍房间。

　　注: 请在韩国科学技术院学校开放时间内到达学校。办公时间是上午 9:00 ~ 下午12:00 ，下午1:00 ~ 下午6:00  ，(周一至周五)，除了在工作日内的假日外。如果因为航班原因，你将在学校关闭时间到达韩国科学技术院，你应该有一个能够在办公室开放之前照顾你的人，或在你到达韩国科学技术院的5天前联系ISSS  ([email protected]) 。

　　3. Health Check-up

　　It is mandatory for all KAIST students to submit the "Certificate of Health  Check-up Form" before entering the dormitories to check health and protect  students from contagious diseases.

　　Dormitory rooms cannot be assigned to those who have contagious diseases  such as tuberculosis.

　　Please kindly submit the completed ‘Certificate of Health Check-up  Form’.

　　You are asked to submit a soft copy of the form by February 6th through  email and a hard copy needs to be submitted when handing in all necessary  documents for school registration.

　　Please note that if you don’t send us a soft copy of the form by the  designated date, you will not be informed of your dormitory allocation  result.

　　3.健康检查

　　强制要求所有入读韩国科学技术院学生在入住宿舍之前进行体检并提交《 健康体检表证明 》，以保护学生免受传染性疾病。

　　宿舍房间不能分配给那些有染性的疾病，如肺结核。

　　请提交已完成的 “健康证书证明表格”。

　　请在 2 月 6 日之前通过电子邮件形式提交一份电子档，并准备一份纸质档在学校注册时提交。

　　请注意，如果您未在指定的日期之前发送电子档给我们，你将不会被通知宿舍分配结果。

　　4. Online Course Registration

　　The online course registration period for the Spring Semester for the newly  admitted students is from January 7(12:30) to 13(23:59). You can register for  courses on the KAIST Portal at http://portal.kaist.ac.kr. To be able to access  the web site, make sure you sing up for it first.

　　We will continue to send information, including how to sign up for the  KAIST Portal System and Courses. Should you have any questions, please send us  an e-mail.

　　4.在线课程注册

　　春季学期为新录取的学生的在线课程报名期是从 1 月7日(12:30) 到 13日(23:59)。你可以在韩国科学技术院网站上  http://portal.kaist.ac.kr 注册课程。为确保您能够访问该 web 站点，请先注册。

　　我们将继续发送相关信息，包括如何报名参加韩国科学技术院门户系统及课程。如果您有任何疑问，请发电子邮件。
